Dogs have been a large part of my life and heart as long as I can remember. The one constant through my life has been a canine companion who was by my side on great days and less than great days. In all honesty, dogs are one of my few passions.

Hi I'm Ruby. You can call me Rue though. I am the oldest and leader of this pooch pack. I am a bit of an overachiever who aced obedience school and I frequently turn heads in the neighborhood on my daily walks.

My name is Ellie, Elle-Belle, Belle, and Ellie-Gator. I am the newest member of this pack. I searched the streets of Baton Rouge until I found my forever family. They say they rescued me, but I know we rescued each other.

I co-founded The Urban Hound with Darla in 2020. Previously I held a number of management and consulting roles in my career in criminal justice and education. I am a self-proclaimed nerd at heart and love the backend piece of making things functional while exercising the design side of my brain to keep it fresh and stylish.

Otherwise known as the @thenotorius_f.i.g_br, I am the middle fur baby and demand a lot from my moms. I contribute to our blog and am The Urban Hound's social media influencer.
